About

Catania,Sicily( IT ) 1995

Versatile dancer; began dancing at the age of 9, with Latin American and Caribbean dance techniques. Ranking among the top positions in different competitions, also studied Hip Hop and break dancing, soon after, ballet and contemporary dance, incorporating the energetic, blocked, sharp movements of Hip Hop with the fluidity of Contemporary.

Nominated by Danza&Danza Best Italian Dancer Abroad 2016.Followed many workshop and learned repertoire in Batsheva summer intensive, Vertigo dance company week, Eastman summer intensive and OBOC(Countertechnique). Worked for choreographers as Alain Platel, Mauro Astolfi , Riccardo Fernando, Emanuele Soavi, Roberto Zappalà, Joshua Monten, Maura Morales , Marguerite Donlon , Urs Dietrich , Kevin o’Day , Emile lierche. In 2016 received the award from Danza&Danza as a best Italian dancer Abroad. Since 2019 developed interest in creating choreographies and teaching. Created "The power of Slowness which received a critique from Hangarfest, digital interface award in 2021. In 2022 A Strati , Duo Winner in Barness crossing festival Köln. Teached In several workshops around the world such as : Berlin (Tanzfabrik) ,Turin nod(Nuova officina della danza) , Dortmund (Tanzhaus) , Rome (ICH International creative lab).

Gaga Summer intensive

August 2017

Selected for 12 days programme in Tel Aviv with Daily classes include Gaga/dancers, Ohad Naharin’s repertory, and methodics. Gaga/dancers deepens dancers’ awareness of physical sensations, expands their palette of available movement options, enhances their ability to modulate their energy and engage their explosive power, and enriches their movement quality with a wide range of textures.

Eastman Summer Intensive

August 2019

Selected for a Six workshop days, the participants work intensively with the artistic team of Eastman to enrich their skills and to learn innovative approaches towards movement and choreography, focusing on the dance culture of Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.

Countertechnique Workshop

July-August 2021

Selected for The OBOC Intensive organized for professional dancers and advanced dance students interested in pursuing a long, healthy and successful career in dance. Program base on a detailed introduction to the distinct elements and methodology that form Countertechnique. Through physical practice, theory, discourse and creative workshops, making a set of practical tools to apply in the daily dance practice and through performance seasons.
